Before sunrise, Gerry hiked a strenuous path to the rim of Lamoille Lake. Upon arrival, the air became thick with vacuum-like pressure and static electricity. Above the lake, a sphere of energy manifested, keeping Gerry transfixed and motionless. Waves of distortion enveloped a once peaceful tranquility, as Gerry closed their eyes, unsure of what might happen next.
